Disneyland!

As the page tells you, we did Disneyland in a day. Our first time to do it in one day actually. We were worried about getting all our favorites in, but Char and kids have disability passes, so it was basically a fast pass for every ride. Thanks Johnsons! We got to meet Savannah for the first time too, oh my goodness, she is so CUTE! and a big time SMILER! (more pics of her to come)



To get the free day we volunteered at a museum called "Playland Not at the Beach." There used to be a carnival type park in San Francisco called "Playland at the beach." They closed it down in the 80's, and this man started to collect the different games etc.. from the park. Soon others heard of his collection and started donating pieces from other ocean-front carnival parks. He pays for the museum by hosting children's parties, work parties etc...and volunteers run the carnival games and hand out tickets for winning. Kids can cash their tickets in at the end for stuffed animals (also donated....eeew...) So we worked at the carnival games, and I don't even feel right about calling it service because we really had fun! They have a whole area with old pin-ball machines in it that still work! So we got to play at the carnival, and then we got a free day at Disney. Can't beat that!

Crazy Hair Day

For crazy hair day, we did Libby's hair "Cindy-Lou-Who" style. I put a hanger wire through a plastic cup. I put the cup in the center of her head and gathered her long hair around it and secured it with a hair band. Then I gathered it at the top of the wire again and attached bows. She was chosen the craziest hair in her class, and then the WHOLE SCHOOL! She got a gift certificate to Coldstone and a Popsicle. She was pretty proud!

The end of a fun day

Jacob was not too happy about leaving the aquarium. But he soon forgot his saddness when we stopped for dinner.

Unfortunately the day did not end well. Erik accidently rear-ended someone on our way home. Bummer. We got it fixed last week-happy day! Then yesterday I backed into someones mailbox...Bummer again. For two people who've never had an accident in the 20 years we've been married, this has not been our best year.


The people were really nice about it considering they had owned their mini-van for 2 days!
